继续说，关于生活中遇到的一些「谈判」相关的小故事：酒店度假，如何免费升级房间？
其实这篇稍微有点「标题党」，它讲述的，并不是一个「如何专门靠谈判来占酒店小便宜」的故事，而是「当你出行遭遇变故导致损失时，如何通过谈判索取合理补偿」的故事。
故事讲完之后，我会总结一下故事中用到的「心理学技巧」，以及「谈判」的核心原则。

动之以情
第 3 个故事发生在若干年前，印度尼西亚，巴厘岛，乌布。
当时我们去巴厘岛度假，选中了乌布的一家酒店，里面有一个非常漂亮的潟湖（xì hú）。
所谓「潟湖」lagoon，就是被沙嘴、沙坝或珊瑚分割而与外海相分离的局部海水水域。本质上是海，但又看着像湖。
这家酒店就把一片潟湖圈进私人范围内，包装成一个可以从独立别墅的后院进入的、宽近 20 米、长约 200 米的天然游泳池。200 米啊，那是什么概念，妈的，我第一次见到 100 米泳道的时候，真的有点肾上腺素分泌要失禁的激动感觉。
据说人类在见到过于巨大而无法掌控的物体时，会发出本能的无法遏制的恐惧，比如说「深海恐惧」。当时我见到 100 米泳道时，就有点「泳道恐惧」。所以 200 米泳道？我没法想象。而且我文字描述能力一般，直接看图吧，大概长这样：
还算是有点梦幻吧，反正当时没什么见识的我是直接被惊艳到了，所以就毫不犹豫地提前好几个月订了这个酒店的中等别墅房型，还主动跟酒店 double check 了一下。
时间到了，我们就飞过去准备在巨大的 lagoon 里狠狠地游上个几公里。然后就出事了。
- 先是我们被酒店服务员引导进了一个小型别墅里，后来得知这个别墅是最低等的房型，房费明显低于我们预订的那套。这个小别墅不仅后院里没有潟湖，甚至连他妈一个像样的后院都没有。
- 我们表示疑惑并跟接待人员交涉后，领班带我们去了原本预订好的有潟湖的中等别墅房型参观。这次有后院了，后院里也确实有潟湖。可是整个湖里，200 米长的泳道上都漂满了残枝落叶，根本下不去脚。
我不死心，还是使劲看了好几眼，才恋恋不舍地离开。等我们坐着度假酒店里的摆渡小车回到接待处，酒店值班经理给我们的解释是：
3 天前，上游地区突然暴雨，水坝被迫放水，海水倒灌进潟湖里，未经处理的杂物污染了游泳池。昨天雨才停也来不及清理，预计清理需要 3 天。而我们一共才住 3 天，完美撞车，所以只好安排我们住进别的房间了。
要知道印尼人的英语水平真的不怎么样，估计还没有泰国人的好，所以这个女值班经理虽然态度特别好，但她用的措辞什么的让我完全感受不到她的真诚。而且得知直接把我们扔到了最便宜的房型里，我直接就炸了。

I have a dream
我不知道你有没有过这种经历，就是做梦的时候梦到自己在说英文。
我经常做这种梦：梦里我不知道什么原因，站在台上用英语发表即兴演讲，说得特别流畅滔滔不绝，简直堪比母语使用者。而且虽然醒后完全不记得自己说了什么，但在梦里好像有旁白告诉我，我的演讲主题恢弘深远，反响热烈。台下的听众，不管是中国人外国人还是各种路过的动物，都纷纷鼓掌表示惊叹。
这样的梦我一旦醒了，就觉得特别失落，因为我自己心里知道，我英语根本不流畅哈哈哈。但当时的场景，几乎就是「美梦成真」。
可能确实是「悲从中来」，我听完她的解释之后，心情非常不平静，所以滔滔不绝地用我力所能及的英语跟她表达了将近半小时我的想法。说完之后，她表示非常理解，然后免费给我们升级成酒店里最顶级的双层私家别墅，并且送了一顿烛光晚餐和一次双人份的私人 SPA。
别墅确实还不错，虽然没有了澙湖，但好歹也是别墅吧，如下图：
这是怎么做到的呢，我当时主要说了三点：

1. FIRST OF ALL
Life is hard in China, and we have to work very very hard to make enough money to go vacation.
And we Chinese do not have many holidays. Maybe you know, just Spring Festival and National Day is long enough to go abroad to see the world.
The world is so huge, that we maybe will only visit here for just once in our whole life time, to see your lagoon, your spectacular swimming pool. So as you and your colleagues have noticed, we have confirmed our reservation several times to show our concern weeks ago.
But now it’s all gone. The rain and flood, you said, happened three days ago, so you and your hotel apparently have the chance to inform us about the accident, right? But you chose to not to do so, and even more, you did not tell us the truth after we have arrived here until now.
This is, no matter what you say, is lying and cheating in front of my face.
Nothing personal, but your apology is not acceptable.

2. FURTHERMORE
Today is not just an ordinary day to me. Today is special.
We, my wife and I, are enjoying our honeymoon in Bali, in Ubud, particularly in your hotel, and supposed in lagoon villa.
Look at this lovely and beautiful woman besides me, please. You, as a manager, are a woman yourself. I think every woman in the world will always be a little girl in her deep heart, no matter when. And you may also start imagining what your honeymoon gonna be since you are a little girl, right? Yes, I know it. Every girl does, so do you, and so does my wife here.
When we planned our honeymoon, that’s the first time I saw your hotel’s picture, and I was shocked by the lagoon swimming pool immediately. Really, I’m not saying something nice on purpose to make you happy, but your hotel is amazing to me, and the lagoon is, I don’t know what to say.
Just close my eyes and I can see the view, that my wife and I are in the water, hearing the wind. And stars, they are shining in the dark sky. It’s just, you know, I cann’t say it anymore.
Now it’s ruined. Just like the bubble in your hand, the whisper around your ear, the sparkle in your dream, it just disappeared.
Puff, just like that.
Can you hear the sound? The sound of disappointment.
If you are my wife, how do you feel now?

3. LAST BUT NOT LEAST
I’m a reasonable person, and I know you cannot control the weather or clean the swimming pool in one night.
So on the other hand, you, a reasonable person as well, should know that nothing can make up for my loss.
I won’t ask you for the impossible or something that you cannot do, but at least I deserve to see your sincerity. Right?
We are not customers and managers here. Maybe at first, we are. But now, after this conversation, we are beyond that. We are just one person to another.
You don’t want this accident happen, and you can’t prevent it, that’s OK. But you can do something to makeup, and you know it.
I want to be happy, and I want to believe that you do care about me and you are truly sorry now.
Please, help me, and give me a chance to believe you.

太长不看
我英语一般，语法和发音都不是很好，所以上面随口说出来的东西，肯定有很多问题，而且一目了然就是 Chinglish。不过语言嘛，我觉得能交流并且能达到目的就还好。
就像我今天在私信里跟一个人聊的那样：
「语言为器，沟通为用」
但为了不让我蹩脚的英文影响「谈判」技巧的讲解，简单翻译如下：
- 首先，中国人很苦，没那么多假期，可能我这辈子就来这里一次。你明明能提前通知我，让我有机会改行程，可你没有。而且我到了这里时你也没主动告诉我，直至我问了你才说。你这是当着我的面在骗我，我没法接受你的道歉。
- 其次，我和妻子来这里不仅是度假，而是度蜜月。经理你也是女人，可能你也像所有女孩子那样，在很小的时候就开始幻想自己的蜜月如何度过。可是现在一切都毁了，如果是你遇到了这样的事，你会有什么感觉？
- 最后，我是讲道理的人，这事不怪你，可是我需要看到你的诚意。你无法阻止这件事发生，但你可以做些事情来减小它的影响。我也希望能开开心心度假，你能帮帮我么，请给我一个相信你的机会，好么，朋友？
